4 Dusting Mistakes You Are Probably Making
Everyone makes mistakes when dusting, don't feel bad. We're here to help you figure out what you're doing wrong and fix it.
1. Sticking to your feather duster. Feather dusters are great for certain cleaning jobs, but don't feel confined to them. Microfiber rags are much more effective at actually collecting dust rather than spreading it.
2. Overlooking vents and grates. When dusting, always, always make sure you hit your vents and grates around the house. They collect a lot of dust.
3. Forgetting to change vacuum bags and filters. Vacuums are what collect all the dust and believe us, those bags get full a lot faster than you'd think. Make sure to replace or empty them and clean those filters! A clean filter and vacuum bag will drastically improve vaccum performance.
4. Spraying directly onto furniture. When spraying your polish directly on to your furniture, you run the risk of buildup that could stain or damage your furniture. Instead, spray your rag lightly or, if you must, spray a light, spread out coat directly onto furniture.
